WARNING
Please wear protective clothing!
a) Wear safety shoes, face protection, gloves, protective apron!
b) The protective equipment must be suitable for handling hot objects!
c) Touching the hot solder surface is forbidden even with gloves!
3.5.5.2 Manually refilling solder
WARNING
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine!
a) When manually refilling solder, liquid metal can splash out of the solder pot!
Manual solder refilling must always be carried out by trained, qualified personnel!
b) When heating up the pot, keep the machine protective plates closed! Open the
protective plates only if the pumps turn on in the pot!
c) During the melt cooling, keep the machine protective plates closed! Open the
protective plates only when the solder has solidified completely.
d) Wear safety shoes, face protection, gloves, protective apron!
3.5.5.3 Automatic solder feeding (solder bars, solder wire)
When dealing with solder bars and solder wire, special precautions must be taken

Death or serious injury due to hot machine, risk of health effects!
a) Solders are hazardous to your health! Touch solder bars and solder wire only
when wearing protective gloves!
b) The solder bars and bar solder feeder itself can become very hot! Touch the
solder bars and solder feeder parts exclusively with heat-resistant protective
gloves!
c) After handling solder and taking off your protective gloves, wash your hands thor-
oughly!

3.5.5.4 Maintenance on hot DIP solder pots On The Fly (optional)
This feature is optionally available for machines with 2 DIP soldering modules. It al-
lows servicing the first DIP soldering module with the second one continuing to op-
erate. In this case, the operation mode [Automatic mode] is not exited. The ma-
chine has been equipped with the protection devices required for this purpose.
Despite this, there are still some residual risks!
DANGER
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine!
The entire machine is hot during operation and contains liquid metal!
a) Service on the hot machine may only be carried out by specially trained staff,
qualified for this type of work! For these types of work, a company internal oper-
ating procedure for protective clothing is to be issued!
b) You should always take into account the possibility for metal to spray out!
c) Special care is required when refilling the pot and working on the pot!
NOTE
Use suitable protective equipment!
When performing any work on a hot pot, protective clothing must be worn:
a) Safety shoes
b) Face protection
c) Heat resistant gloves
d) Heat resistant apron
WARNING
Death or severe injuries are possible with rolled out soldering module!
ü If the soldering module stands on the solder pot trestle while it is hot:
a) Shut off the work area with a red and white safety chain and a warning sign.
b) Remove possible tripping areas!
As the machine continues to operate during maintenance, also the conveyor sys-
tem continues to run! The following restrictions must be observed:

WARNING
Entanglement hazard! Risk of injury due to body parts, clothes or hair being drawn
in!
a) Wear tight-fitting, suitable protective clothing!
b) Button up shirts and jackets! Button up sleeves!
c) For long hair: Wear a hairnet or headgear!
d) Do not wear any scarves, shawls, necklaces and jewellery!
3.5.6 Laser equipment
Laser radiation! Retinal burn risk.
This machine meets Class2 laser radiation protection requirements. Inside the ma-
chine, laser beams are adequately screened.
However, risks remain!
DANGER

a) Never disable protective and safety devices!
b) Never alter or modify the machine without consultations with the manufacturer!
c) Avoid direct eye exposure! Smooth surface can cause reflections!
d) Do not direct the laser beam at others!
3.5.7 Handling of gas pressure springs
CAUTION
Danger of injury due to improper handling of gas pressure springs! Always follow
the manufacturer's instructions!
ü If a gas pressure spring must be replaced:
a) Always have the gas pressure spring replaced by specialised personnel!
b) Always use the provided assembly tool!
