Fig.101: Disassembling the covering plate
ü To disassemble the covering plate:
a) Open the door in the fluxer area.
b) Loosen the screws (1).
c) Lift the covering plate (2) and remove it from the machine together with the
storage tank.
d) Place the covering plate on a level surface.
ð The compressed air and nitrogen supply unit becomes visible.

Fig.102: Adjusting the nitrogen input pressure
ü Check and adjust the nitrogen input pressure
a) Visual inspection of the pressure reducer (4)
b) Read the current pressure on the pressure gauge (5) and compare it with the
data on the label (6).
ð If pressure has been set too low:
c) Remove the adjusting knob (7) pulling it upwards and change the pressure by
turning the adjusting knob until the correct pressure is displayed.
d) Press the adjusting knob down again.
ð The process has now been completed.

8.6.7 Check the nitrogen flow rate to the solder nozzle
12 3
Fig.103: Nitrogen flowmeter
A poorly wetted or oxidized solder nozzle or an unsatisfactory soldering result in-
dicate an insufficient nitrogen flow. In this case, increase the nitrogen flow to the
solder nozzle. The minimum value is 25l/min.
NOTE
A higher value can degrade the soldering result!
ü To check the nitrogen flow rate to the solder nozzle:
a) Open the panel door in the soldering unit area.
ð The flowmeters (1) are located below the soldering units. For each solder-
ing unit, a flowmeter is available.
b) Read the current flow rate on the flowmeter (1) and compare it with the data
on the label (2).
ð If the flow rate is not set correctly or the soldering result is unsatisfactory:
c) Change the flow rate by turning the adjusting knob (3).
ð The process has now been completed.
