CAUTION
Risk of material damage!
All the parts of the soldering module coming into contact with liquid solder are
coated.
a) These parts may only be cleaned with a suitable brush.
b) Use a wooden scraper for residual solder which is hard to remove.
ü Cleaning the selective soldering module:
a) Visual inspection of the soldering module.
b) Remove and dispose of solder residue in an environmentally conscious man-
ner.
c) Check the connectors (2) for tightness. Fasten loose connections. Have defect-
ive connections replaced by qualified staff.
ð The process has now been completed.

8.6.15 Visual inspection of the axis system (mechanics)
DANGER
Severe or fatal injury from hot machine! Hot pot containing molten metal!
ü For any work being carried out, take the following safety precautions:
a) Touching the pot during operation is forbidden!
b) Allow the pot to cool down to room temperature before carrying out service and
cleaning work! On this regard, observe the solder temperature at the machine
terminal!
c) During the solder heating and cooling, molten metal can splash out of the pot!
The machine protective plates must therefore remain closed during heating and
cooling!
d) Open protective plates only when the solder has solidified completely.
e) Service and cleaning work on hot pots must always be carried out by trained and
qualified personnel!

ü Visual inspection of the axis systems:
a) let the machine cool down.
b) Open hoods and doors in the area of the axis systems.
c) Remove and clean any existing blankets.
d) To clean the coverings (1), use a cleaning agent recommended by the flux man-
ufacturer for the fluxer area.
e) The axis systems can be moved via the control software for testing purposes.
ð Smooth and soft running must be guaranteed.
ð If unusual running noises are detected:
f) Have the axis system checked by qualified staff.
ð The process has now been completed.

Supplementary documents
The [190-700013N3] document is necessary for servicing the axis system. Only trained
and qualified ERSA GmbH personnel may carry out the maintenance work described in
that document. The document can be found in the data carrier [product_data_select-
ive]. The document is exclusively available in [german] language.
