12.6.2.4 Production
When “Cutter” is checked off in [Option device enable] in Machine setup, the cuter is operated in a
certain cycle during production.
(1) Cutter operation timing
When production is started, the tape cutter functions at constant intervals. When production
is finished, the tape cutter operation is completed.
1) Cutter operation stop timing
The cyclic tape cut operation is stopped in the status shown below.
- Pause
- Non-production
2) Cutter single operation timing
The tape cut operation is performed once at the timing shown below.
- Production completion
- Pause
- <Cutter> button is pressed on the “Pause” screen.
(2) <Cutter> button
The <Cutter> button is displayed in the “Stop” dialog box.
When you press the <Cutter> button, the “Question” message appears.
Pressing <OK> will start the tape cut operation.

1. Do not open the guide section of the cutter unit with your hand or put your hand
in the cutter unit.
Or you may have your finger cut with the blade of the cutter or the movable part.
2. Do not put any substance on the cutter unit or apply any load to it.
Or the guide or cover of the cutter unit may be deformed, so it may hurt you,
malfunction or generate abnormal noise.

12.7 Conveyor options and functions
The RS-1/1R supports “a long-sized board,” the function “Change of standby position of a short
substrate” and “ZA-axis operation with the substrate size for 3 buffers” as standard functions.
When you attach a conveyor extension option on this machine, the board size supported with these
functions can be extended.
This Section describes the conveyor extension options and the board transport function.
12.7.1 Conveyor extension options
When you attach a conveyor extension option onto the RS-1/1R, the supported board size is
extended.
The conveyor extension options you can select are shown in the table below.
Note that if you extend the downstream side only, the size of a board the machine can transport is
not changed, but the operation corresponding to the function “ZA-axis operation with the substrate
size for 3 buffers” changes (see Section 12.6.4 “ZA-axis operation with the substrate size for 3
buffers”).
Supported conveyor extension options: maximum X-dimension of a board (unit: mm)

* The Y-dimension of a board is fixed to 50 to 370 mm regardless of whether a conveyor
extension option is attached on the machine or not.
* The conveyor extension option is not supported with a machine for an extra-large board.
12.7.2 Support of a long-sized board
12.7.2.1 Supported board sizes
When the machine feeds a board twice, the supported X-dimension of the board can be extended to
up to 950 mm.
This enables production of a long-sized PWB that is to be used in a LED light.
Note that when this option is combined with a conveyor extension option, the machine can support a
board whose dimension is up to 1200 mm.
The maximum size of a board to be fed once according to the corresponding specifications is
referred to as “the regulated size” hereinafter.
