Cause: When the MTU and IP communicated, there was no initial response from the MTU or the data
was of the wrong format. Transmission was attempted 3 times but there was no correct reply.
Remedy: Check that the cable connecting the MTU and the IP machine is not disconnected and that there
are no problems with the contacts in the connector. Furthermore, if there is a machine generating a
strong magnetic field near the communication path, the data may be corrupted.

MTU.
